Blue Light Card Discounts List by Brand

Most Blue Light Card discounts at the big brands run from 2% to 25%. Restaurants and hotels give the most, and a few takeaway deals go higher still. Shopping Cards for shops and supermarkets mostly save 3% to 6%.

We checked every rate on Blue Light Card’s own pages on 24 October 2026. Offers change often, so check the app before a big spend.

Eating Out From 9% to 25%

Restaurants carry the biggest discounts on the card. Most casual dining chains take 20% off food, and a few go to 25% off the whole bill.

Pizza Hut’s sit-down restaurants take 25% off food, and the lunchtime buffet counts. For something quicker, Burger King takes 20% off your order, Five Guys 10% off dine-in orders and KFC 9%.

Nando’s is the odd one out. It won’t take the card at the till, but Blue Light Card sells discounted Nando’s Shopping Cards to spend in its restaurants. The rate isn’t shown on the public page.

Coffee Cards and Two for One Pizza

Starbucks is the easy one. You show your card at the till and get 10% off your bill, or you can buy a Starbucks gift card at 9.5% off.

Costa‘s saving comes through a gift card at 8% below face value, and Caffè Nero’s card is 8% off too. You buy the card in your account first, then pay with it.

For a night in, Domino’s runs buy one get one free on online orders. Papa Johns lists 40% off, and Pizza Hut Delivery takes 50% off pizzas and sides when you spend £25 or more.

The delivery apps sell discounted gift cards instead, at 4.5% for Just Eat and 3.5% for Deliveroo and Uber Eats. Deliveroo also gives members 12 months of Plus Silver free.

Supermarket Cards From 3% to 6%

The big grocers save you money through Shopping Cards rather than at the till. These are gift cards sold to members for less than their value, and you spend them like any other gift card.

M&S has the best published rate, at 6% off M&S gift cards, and they work across food, clothing and homeware. Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Asda cards are sold below face value too, but Blue Light Card doesn’t print their rate on its public pages.

New Look at 15% Off Full Price

Fashion offers mix discount codes and gift cards. New Look has the best headline rate, at 15% off full price in store or online.

Full price is the catch with the codes. JD Sports and Nike take 10% off full price items, so sale stock usually misses out. Gift cards usually work on sale items too, because they’re simply a way to pay. There’s more on Zara’s card in our Zara guide.

Some well-known names aren’t on the card at all, including Amazon and Aldi. Our list of shops that don’t accept Blue Light Card covers them, along with the nearest alternatives.

Three Ways to Claim an Offer

Every offer works in one of three ways, and the offer page in the app tells you which.

Shopping Cards are the only type that needs planning. You buy the card before you shop, and any balance you don’t spend stays on it for next time.

Codes are usually online only, while in-store offers need the digital card in the app or the plastic card. Our guide to using the card in store and online walks through each type.

Tech Gift Cards at 2% to 8%

Tech savings come mostly through gift cards, and the rates are modest.

• Apple gift cards at 2% off, for apple.com and UK Apple Stores.
• Argos gift cards at 4% off.
• PlayStation gift cards at 5% off, and Xbox gift cards at 8% off.
• Currys gift cards at 5.5% off, plus member codes. The Currys offer page showed up to £100 off selected Windows laptops.

On a £1,000 laptop, the Currys card saves £55. That beats the Apple card, which takes £20 off the same spend.

Home and DIY From 3% to 5.5%

DIY and furniture shops sell Shopping Cards too. The rates sit close together, so pick the shop first and let the card follow.

• Wayfair gift cards at 5.5% off.
• Wickes gift cards at 5% off.
• B&Q and Screwfix gift cards at 4% off.
• John Lewis gift cards at 3% off, for johnlewis.com and its shops.

For a £600 kitchen order at Wickes, the 5% card saves £30. Buy the card in stages as each part is ordered, because the balance can only be spent at that shop.

Hotels and Days Out Up to 25%

Travel and attractions carry some of the higher rates. Hilton advertises up to 25% off bookings, and Travelodge gives 5% off with a code. Our hotel discounts guide explains the conditions at each chain.

For days out, Twycross Zoo takes up to 25% off day tickets and ZSL London Zoo 10% off pre-booked tickets. Our zoo discounts guide lists more parks.

Alton Towers, Thorpe Park and LEGOLAND Windsor take up to 15% off tickets through the member link. ODEON and Cineworld are in the A to Z too, but Blue Light Card’s days out page doesn’t show their rates, so check the app before you book.

Gyms and Car Care Up to 20%

Gym offers come off the monthly membership. Nuffield Health gives 20% off memberships, and The Gym Group gives 10%. PureGym takes up to 10% off and drops the joining fee on monthly memberships.

Drivers have a few regular savings. Halfords gives up to 7% off online and in store, and Halfords Autocentres takes 10% off car servicing. Kwik Fit gives 15% off top tyre brands and 10% off servicing and MOTs.

Membership costs £4.99 for two years, so 10% off a £60 car service covers it on its own. Our eligibility guide shows who can join, including retired staff.
