JD Sports Blue Light Card Discount

The JD Sports Blue Light Card discount is 10% off full price items. It comes as a code for the JD website and app. It won’t work at the till in a JD shop.

Blue Light Guide is an independent guide and isn’t affiliated with Blue Light Card Ltd. For your account, verification or payments, use the official Blue Light Card website or app.

Sale stock, gift cards and a long list of named products miss out. Blue Light Card also limits each member to six codes in any three months.

The rules below come from JD’s own terms and Blue Light Card’s offer page, both checked on 24 October 2026.

Six Codes Every Three Months

You get the code from Blue Light Card, then spend it on JD’s website or app. It takes five steps, and the code is emailed to you as well as copied.

StepWhereWhat to do
1Blue Light Card app or websiteLog in and search for JD Sports
2JD Sports offer pageChoose the discount code offer
3Link through to JDYour code is copied and emailed
4JD website or appAdd full price items to your bag

Blue Light Card’s JD Sports page caps the offer at six codes in three months. Once you hit the limit, you can’t request another until that period resets. So ask for a code only when your bag is ready.

The code itself changes often, but Blue Light Card says members always see the current one. JD sets no minimum or maximum spend, so a small order qualifies as well as a big one.

Only one promo code fits each JD order, so pick the best one before you pay. New to code offers? Our guide on how to use your Blue Light Card shows where the app keeps the codes you’ve requested.

Does JD Do Blue Light in Store?

No. Blue Light Card says the JD code is redeemable against online orders only. JD’s own terms agree, limiting the 10% to its website, app and mobile site. Showing your card at a JD till won’t take anything off.

Seen something in a shop? You can order it on the JD app with your code instead. JD’s Click & Collect delivers to more than 280 stores in England and Wales within 3 to 5 working days. A free same day option covers selected stores when you order before 2pm.

If you send something back, JD’s terms say returned items are refunded at the price paid. So the refund reflects your 10% saving, not the full price.

A gift card won’t get round the rule. JD sells its own gift cards and eGift cards, which work in its UK stores, but Blue Light Card doesn’t list a discounted JD Shopping Card. JD’s terms also stop the 10% code being used to buy gift cards.

Want money off at a till instead? Blue Light Card sells a Sports Direct Shopping Card that saves 3.75% online or in store. For clothes, the Zara gift card saves 3.5% in any UK Zara store, and a discounted Primark Shopping Card is spent in Primark’s shops.

927 Products the Code Skips

Full price comes first. Blue Light Card says the code only applies to full price items online, so anything already reduced in the sale misses out.

JD then rules out named products. Its terms link to a code exclusions list, which held 927 products on 24 October. Almost half of them were adidas products. Nike had 115, including the Air Max 95 at £175. This season’s England and club football shirts are on the list too.

UGG, ASICS, On Running and Salomon products feature too. So does the adidas Originals x Molly-Mae Samba Slate at £110, which JD was promoting as a new launch.

Brand deliveries are the next catch. JD’s help pages say discounts can’t be used on items delivered directly by brand partners. JD names Nike, adidas, Reebok, Under Armour, The North Face, Timberland and Vans. Those items only come with standard delivery, which is a handy clue at checkout.

Then there are JD’s own deals. Its Top Pick offers take 20% off at checkout, and JD’s terms bar the Blue Light code from being used with any other online offer. The two never stack.

Checklist showing the JD Sports Blue Light code works on the JD website and app, on full price items and most trainers, but not at JD shop tills or on sale items, gift cards, 927 listed products, items shipped by brands or other JD offers

Code rejected at checkout? Check your bag for those catches first, such as a sale price, a listed product, a brand delivery or another JD offer. If none of them applies, Blue Light Card asks members to contact it about the code.

A £250 Basket Comes to £232

Here’s how those rules play out on real JD prices from 24 October 2026. Say you’re buying trainers for yourself and a child, plus an England shirt for the child.

Nike P-6000 trainers cost £110, and the junior version is £70. Both were full price and clear of the exclusions list, so the code takes £11 and £7 off.

The England 2026 home shirt in junior sizes costs £70, but it’s on JD’s exclusions list. It stays at £70.

Worked example on real JD prices where Nike P-6000 trainers at £110 drop to £99, the junior pair at £70 drops to £63 and an excluded England 2026 junior shirt stays at £70, so £250 of kit costs £232

That’s £250 of kit for £232. The saving comes to £18, or 7.2% of the basket rather than the full 10%.

Colour can matter more than the code. On the same day, the black P-6000 was one of JD’s Top Pick offers at 20% off. That pair came to £88 with no code, £11 less than the code manages on a full price pair.

Membership costs £4.99 for two years, so even this one order covers the fee more than three times.

Same 10% for NHS and Forces Schemes

Blue Light Card isn’t the only way to get the code. JD’s terms name four schemes that can issue it, and the discount is the same 10% off full price through each. On Blue Light Card’s side, retirees from eligible jobs can use it too.

The four are Blue Light Card, Health Service Discounts, Voucher Codes NHS and Defence Discount Service. So if you already use Health Service Discounts or Voucher Codes NHS, you can get JD’s 10% there instead. Defence Discount Service members can do the same.

JD’s own key worker page leads back to these schemes. It asks you to log in to your usual key worker discount account for a unique code. Its browser tab still says 20% off, but the page itself offers 10% off full priced products.

Students get a separate deal. JD’s latest student terms gave 20% off through UNiDAYS, Student Beans or TOTUM, or with a student card in store. That offer ended on 5 October 2026, so check JD’s student page for what’s running now.

If the trainers you want are on JD’s exclusions list, try the brand itself. Blue Light Card’s Nike code takes 10% off full price at Nike, and our Nike and adidas guide covers both brands.
