Blue Light Card restaurant discounts run from 9% to 25% off. KFC gives the least, and chains such as Bella Italia and Turtle Bay give the most. Most casual dining chains, Wagamama and Prezzo included, take 20% off food.

Pub chains give 10% to 20% off food. Nando’s won’t take the card at the till, but a discounted Nando’s Shopping Card still saves you money.
The rates come from Blue Light Card’s own listings and the chains’ terms, checked on 24 October 2026. The days matter as much as the percentage, so they’re listed too.
Restaurants With Up to 25% Off
The best rates sit with the casual dining chains. The top rate is 25% off, and 20% off food is the norm.

Bill’s and Pho take 20% off the whole bill every day, and Frankie & Benny’s gives 20% off the total bill. Côte, Rosa’s Thai, Wildwood, dim t and Mowgli give 20% from Sunday to Thursday only.
Pizza Hut’s sit-down restaurants also take 25% off food, and the lunchtime buffet counts. Las Iguanas, ASK Italian and Banana Tree give 20% from Sunday to Friday, while Jamie’s Italian gives 20% every day.
Wagamama Covers a Table of Six
Wagamama gives 20% off food for the member plus five guests, so a table of six is covered. You get a unique code from your Blue Light Card account and show it to your server.
It’s valid on every day the restaurant opens, but only for dining in, and airport branches are excluded. The £14 main and drink lunch menu and the group set menus don’t count, though Soul Club rewards still work on the same bill, according to Wagamama’s offer terms.
PizzaExpress Never on a Friday
PizzaExpress gives 20% off food, with no minimum spend, and one code covers the whole table. Drinks aren’t included.
Fridays are always out. The PizzaExpress terms also exclude Saturdays, bank holidays, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Easter Monday and Father’s Day. Blue Light Card’s listing now shows Saturday as valid, so check the terms on your code before you book a Saturday table.
It’s for dining in. The discount doesn’t work on takeaway, collection or orders through Uber Eats, Just Eat or Deliveroo.
Get the Code Before You Order
Most restaurants need more than a quick look at the card. This is the usual routine.
- Open the offer in the Blue Light Card app before you leave home, in case the restaurant has weak signal.
- Check the days, and whether the rate covers food only or the whole bill.
- Show the code, QR code or digital card when you order. Greene King asks for it at the till.
- Pay as normal. Discounts rarely stack, but Wagamama Soul Club rewards and PizzaExpress Club stamps still count.

The offers are for Blue Light Card members. Membership is open to NHS, emergency services, social care, teaching and armed forces staff, and most of those groups include people who have retired.
Pub Chains From 10% to 20%
Pub chains give between 10% and 20% off food, and many of them work every day. These are the main ones on Blue Light Card’s list.
Chef & Brewer, Flaming Grill, Hungry Horse and Farmhouse Inns all give 15% off food every day. Heritage Pubs give 15% on weekdays, and Sizzling Pubs give 10%.
Toby Carvery and Harvester are weekday deals. Harvester’s 15% covers food only from Monday to Friday, and both chains give 20% off click and collect. Our Toby Carvery, Harvester and Miller & Carter guide has the rest.
Marston’s Gives 20% Every Day
Blue Light Card lists 20% off food at Marston’s pubs, all day and every day. Marston’s own help page is more cautious. It says availability varies by location and asks you to check with the local pub team.
Greene King Scans a QR Code
Greene King gives 15% off food every day during food service times. You show the QR code in the Blue Light Card app at the till when you order.
Its Blue Light pub finder listed 750 pubs on 24 October 2026. The offer also carried an Offer Boost badge on Blue Light Card’s site that day, so the rate may be higher for a short time.
Burger King and Popeyes at 20%
Quick food carries smaller discounts, with two exceptions. Burger King gives 20% off your order, and Popeyes takes 20% off the total bill when you order on mobile.
Wingstop gives 15% off the total bill. Starbucks, Krispy Kreme, Wasabi and Coco di Mama give 10%, and KFC gives 9% off your order. Our Costa, Starbucks and Subway comparison covers the coffee chains.
Five Guys Takes 10% Off
Yes, Five Guys takes Blue Light Card. Members get 10% off dine-in orders, so collection and delivery orders miss out. As with most in-store offers, you show the card or the app code when you order.
Does Nando’s Take Blue Light Card?
Not at the till. Nando’s says it has no official partnership with Blue Light Card, so the card itself isn’t accepted for its NHS or emergency services discount.
Nando’s runs its own 20% emergency services discount instead. You show ID with an official Police, Fire, Ambulance Service or Military logo at the till, for eating in or walk-in collection.
The cap is tight. It covers orders up to £20, so the most you save is £4, once a day, and it doesn’t work on online orders, according to Nando’s help centre.
Your membership still works there in another way. Blue Light Card’s Nando’s page sells discounted Nando’s Shopping Cards, digital gift cards you buy for less and hand over when you pay. They work in restaurants only, not online. Blue Light Card says most UK Nando’s accept them, so check with your server before you order, and check the rate in the app, because it isn’t shown publicly.

Two for One at Domino’s
Takeaway deals look different from restaurant ones. Blue Light Card lists buy one get one free at Domino’s, 40% off at Papa Johns and 50% off pizzas and sides at Pizza Hut Delivery when you spend £25 or more.
Deliveroo has two offers, £12 off your first order and 12 months of Deliveroo Plus Silver free. PizzaExpress Delivery runs a 2 for £20 deal, and Toby Carvery, Harvester and Stonehouse give 20% off click and collect.

Saturdays Are the Usual Catch
The rate is only half the story. Many casual dining chains run their offer from Sunday to Friday, which rules out the busiest night of the week.
Some go further. Côte, Rosa’s Thai, Wildwood, dim t, Mowgli and Giggling Squid work Sunday to Thursday, so Fridays are out as well. O’Neill’s, Slug & Lettuce and Stonehouse are weekday offers, like Toby Carvery and Harvester.

£20 Off a £100 Family Meal
Take a family meal with £100 of food. At 20% off food, as at Wagamama or Prezzo, you save £20, about four times the £4.99 membership for two years.
Drinks change the maths. Most chains discount food only, so £30 of wine on top saves nothing extra. Bella Italia’s 25% covers the whole bill, so the same £130 meal there saves £32.50.
Over a year, two meals a month with £50 of food each would save £240 at 20%. Rates change often and boosts come and go, so check the live offer in the app before you book.
