Which hotel chains give a Blue Light Card discount? Hilton gives the most, with 25% off bed and breakfast rates at participating hotels, and Travelodge gives 5%.

Premier Inn is the big exception. It has no discount on rooms. Its Blue Light Card code only works in Premier Inn At Home, the shop that sells its beds and mattresses.
We checked every offer below on 24 October 2026. Each chain has its own catch, from booking windows to the rate the discount comes off.
Hotel Rates From 0% to 25%
Here’s what a member gets at each chain today, and the condition that matters most.

The rates come from Blue Light Card’s offer pages and each chain’s own terms. Blue Light Card says some hotel offers are seasonal, so check the live listing in the app before you book.
Premier Inn Pays Nothing on Rooms
That’s the answer to the hotel question people search most. Blue Light Card’s Premier Inn page offers nothing on hotel stays, so there’s no room rate to unlock.
The offer is for Premier Inn At Home instead, the online shop that sells the beds and bedding from its hotels. For a room, book Premier Inn the usual way. Our Premier Inn Blue Light Card guide has more on what members can and can’t get there.
A Code for the Hotel Mattress
This is what the Premier Inn mattress searches are about. Premier Inn At Home sells the exclusive Premier Inn Mattress, made by Silentnight, from £649. Beds start at £299 and bedding at £25.
To claim the saving, search for Premier Inn in your Blue Light Card account and open the At Home offer. The code is copied and emailed to you, and you paste it in at checkout on the At Home website.
Blue Light Card doesn’t publish the percentage, so check it in the app before you buy a mattress.
Three Chains That Take Money Off
Hilton, Travelodge and IHG are the big chains with a room offer. Each one works in its own way.
Hilton at 25% Off B&B
Blue Light Card’s Hilton page advertises savings of up to 25%. Its terms give the detail. Members get 25% off the publicly available bed and breakfast rate at participating Hilton Hotels & Resorts worldwide.
Hampton by Hilton is lower, at 15% off the daily rate at participating Hampton hotels. For both, you reveal the code in your Blue Light Card account and enter it when you book on Hilton’s website.
Say a weekend bed and breakfast stay costs £300. At 25% off, you’d pay £225. Not every Hilton takes part, so check that the member rate shows before you commit.
Travelodge Needs a Week’s Notice
Travelodge gives members 5% off bookings with a code. The catch sits in Travelodge’s own FAQ. You must book 7 days before your first night, and the stay can’t be longer than 3 nights.
The code also goes somewhere unusual. You add it on the basket page, which you reach through the View basket link in your booking summary or the basket icon at the top of the site.
That rules out last-minute stays and long trips. On a £180 three-night stay, 5% saves £9.
IHG Rates Show Online Only
Blue Light Card lists IHG Hotels & Resorts and Holiday Inn on its hotel discounts page, but the rate only shows once you log in.
IHG’s own partner rate terms say these rates are for website bookings only, so the call centre can’t apply them. The same terms say you’ll need proof of membership at check-in, so have the digital card ready in the app.
Malmaison Prices Drop Automatically
The smaller names on the list work in different ways.
Malmaison doesn’t use a code at all. When you click through from your Blue Light Card account, the member price applies to eligible bookings automatically.
Best Western uses a code instead. It’s copied and emailed to you when you open the offer, and you paste it in when you book on Best Western’s site. Blue Light Card says availability varies by hotel and dates.
The hotel page also lists Village Hotels, Warner Hotels, Macdonald Hotels & Resorts, The Belfry and Hotel du Vin. Airport hotels come through APH and Holiday Extras. Their rates only show once you’re logged in.

Expedia Fills the Booking Gap
Booking.com is the gap. Blue Light Card says it doesn’t currently offer a discount code there. It points members to Expedia, Hotels.com, loveholidays, TUI, easyJet Holidays and Jet2holidays instead.
Hotels.com has a member code for hotel-only bookings. You must book through the Blue Light Card link and pay at the time of booking.
The code won’t work on flight and hotel packages, rooms supplied by third-party bed banks or bookings made through the call centre.
Expedia’s code covers hotels, flights, car hire and packages. In most cases you can use either the Blue Light Card code or another Expedia promotion, not both. Our Booking.com guide has more on the alternatives, and our holiday discounts guide covers package breaks.
Show Your Card at Check In
The booking routine is much the same everywhere. Log in to the Blue Light Card app or website, search for the hotel and open its offer page. Depending on the chain, you either reveal a code or click through to a member price.
Then book on the chain’s own website, or on the booking site the offer names. Codes go in at checkout, except at Travelodge, where they go on the basket page.
Blue Light Card says most hotel offers let you book several rooms or guests, but check each offer for limits. Keep the digital card on your phone when you arrive, in case the hotel asks for proof.
