Premier Inn Blue Light Card Discount on Beds Not Rooms

Bright bedroom in a terraced house with a made double bed in white bedding, a navy knitted throw, a white lamp on an oak bedside table and a sash window

Premier Inn gives Blue Light Card members no discount on rooms. The only Premier Inn code is for Premier Inn At Home. That’s the chain’s shop for its mattress and bedding.

Blue Light Guide is an independent guide and isn’t affiliated with Blue Light Card Ltd. For your account, verification or payments, use the official Blue Light Card website or app.

So the saving on a stay comes from the rate you book. For one York room on 4 December, the Standard rate cost £24 less than Flex. A 5% code like Travelodge’s would save £10.05 on the £201 Flex price.

Work stays can do better through Premier Inn Business, at 5% to 15% off Flex. For leisure trips, Travelodge gives members 5% and Hampton by Hilton 15%.

Nothing Off a Premier Inn Room

Blue Light Card’s Premier Inn page has one offer, and it isn’t for hotel stays. Its FAQ says the code works on Premier Inn At Home products, including mattresses, pillows, duvets and bedding.

Its other pages agree. On 25 October 2026, the Premier Inn gift card page could not be found, and the A to Z of brands sent Premier Inn to the same At Home page. Premier Inn isn’t on the hotel discounts page or in any of the 202 help centre articles.

Premier Inn’s own pages have no special rate to match. Its rates page, room rate FAQs, offers page and booking terms name no NHS, key worker or Blue Light price.

The only NHS page in Premier Inn’s sitemap is a news story from 2020. It describes 37 hotels kept open for key workers during the pandemic, and it mentions no discount. So there’s no member price to ask for at reception.

The Hotel Mattress From £649

Premier Inn At Home sells Premier Inn’s bed and bedding for use at home. The Premier Inn Mattress is made by Silentnight, with 1,000 individually responsive springs and a Geltex layer. The shop rates it medium to firm.

A single costs £649, a double £799, a king £849 and a super king £1,019. Beds start at £299. Bedding starts at £25, across pillows, 4.5 or 10.5 tog duvets and quilted mattress protectors.

Premier Inn Mattress prices by size: single £649, double £799, king £849 and super king £1,019

Blue Light Card doesn’t publish its At Home rate, so check it in the app before you pick a size. Each 1% would be worth £7.99 on a double.

The mattress has a 6-year guarantee, and standard delivery is free within 10 working days. You get 14 days from delivery to return items in their original condition. Opened pillows, duvets and protectors only go back if they’re faulty.

Five Rates From Flex to Non-Flex

With no member price, the rate you choose sets the cost of a room. Premier Inn’s rates page lists five, from most to least flexible.

  • Flex: pay now or on arrival, with a full refund until 1pm on the day you arrive.
  • Semi-Flex: pay now, with a full refund up to three full days before arrival.
  • Advance: pay now, with a full refund up to 28 full days before arrival, then free date changes.
  • Standard: pay now with no refund, though you can move the date at the same hotel until 1pm on arrival day.
  • Non-Flex: pay now, with no changes or refunds.

Prices are per room per night and include VAT, but meals cost extra. Premier Inn says its lowest-priced rooms generally go to people who book well in advance. Its offers page adds that Friday and Sunday nights are often cheapest, and it suggests hotels outside city centres.

Book on premierinn.com or the Premier Inn app. Premier Inn says its lowest rates aren’t on price comparison sites, and it doesn’t hold rooms back for phone or walk-in bookings.

Breakfast isn’t part of the code either. It starts at £10.99, or up to £13.99 at some restaurants, and up to two under-16s eat free with each adult breakfast. Up to two children can also stay free with a paying adult, subject to availability.

£201 or £177 for One York Night

Here’s how far the rate choice goes. On 25 October 2026, Premier Inn York City (Blossom St North) showed three prices for a standard room on Friday 4 December, for one adult and one night.

Premier Inn rate options for one room for one night: Flex £201, Semi-Flex £183 and Standard £177, each with its refund rule
Premier Inn

Flex cost £201 and Semi-Flex £183. Standard cost £177, so giving up refunds saved £24, about 12%. Advance and Non-Flex weren’t offered for that night.

Price of one Premier Inn York room on 4 December 2026 by rate: Flex £201.00, Business Flex at 5% off £190.95, Semi-Flex £183.00, Standard £177.00 and Business Flex at 15% off £170.85

A 5% code, the rate Travelodge gives members, would take £10.05 off £201. Here the Standard rate saved more than twice that, with no code at all.

As Business Flex, the same room would have cost between £170.85 and £190.95, depending on the discount. Prices follow demand, so the same search on another day may show different figures.

Budget Rooms at 5% to 15% Off

The room discount Premier Inn does publish is for business bookings. Premier Inn Business is a free account for companies, and its Business Flex rate comes with a guaranteed 5% off the Flex price. Booking further ahead can lift the saving to as much as 15%.

Premier Inn checks each company with Companies House, and sole traders add extra details. Business Flex covers the room only and isn’t sold at Premier Inn Leicester Square. It suits a work trip your employer books, not a weekend away.

For leisure stays, the member codes sit with other chains. Here’s how the main routes compare.

Travelodge’s own FAQ adds the catch. You must book 7 days before your first night, and the stay can’t be longer than 3 nights. Hilton Hotels & Resorts go further, with 25% off the bed and breakfast rate at participating hotels, and our guide to hotel discounts by chain sets out each chain’s rules.

Booking.com has no Blue Light Card offer at all. Blue Light Card’s Booking.com page points members to Expedia, Hotels.com, loveholidays, TUI, easyJet Holidays and Jet2holidays instead, and our Booking.com guide compares them.

Dinner is one part of a Premier Inn stay that can cost less. Premier Inn’s Meal Deal terms name Beefeater among the restaurants attached to its hotels, and Blue Light Card has a Beefeater code for participating sites. It covers the main menu food bill when you order at least two mains, but not on bank holidays or with another offer.

At Home Codes Arrive by Email

The mattress code starts in your Blue Light Card account. Log in to the app or website, search for Premier Inn and open its offer page. Choose the discount code offer and click through to Premier Inn At Home, and the code is copied and emailed to you.

Add your mattress or bedding to the basket and paste the code at checkout. Check the saving shows before you pay. It’s a code for the At Home shop, not for rooms on premierinn.com.

For rooms, book Premier Inn on its own website or app and pick the rate before you pay. At Travelodge, the code goes on the basket page, reached through the View basket link. Hilton codes go in when you book on Hilton’s website.

Membership costs £4.99 for two years. If the trip includes a flight or a UK holiday park, our holiday discounts guide covers those firms. Our guide to train and airport parking discounts helps with getting there, and the Blue Light Card discounts list has more brands.
