Does Alton Towers do a Blue Light discount? Yes, Blue Light Card members get up to 15% off tickets and up to 10% off hotel stays at the resort.
Blue Light Guide is an independent guide and isn’t affiliated with Blue Light Card Ltd. For your account, verification or payments, use the official Blue Light Card website or app.
There’s no code to type. You click through from the Blue Light Card app, and member prices load on Alton Towers’ own booking site. Waterpark tickets start from £15 the same way.
We checked every price below on 27 October 2026. The theme park closes for winter in early November and reopens in spring.
Booking the 15% in Five Steps
Alton Towers’ own help centre answers the question in one line. It sends Blue Light Card holders to the Blue Light Card app to book theme park tickets.

- Log in to the Blue Light Card app or website and search for Alton Towers.
- Open the offer you want and press Get Discount.
- Alton Towers’ booking site opens, and member savings apply at checkout. Pick your date and tickets.
- Compare the basket with Alton Towers’ own online price for the same date.
- If no discount shows, go back to the offer and click through again before you pay.
That last step matters. Blue Light Card’s help centre says that once you’ve paid without the discount, you have to take it up with the partner under its own policies.
Book at least a day ahead. Alton Towers says its online discount only applies to tickets bought 24 hours or more ahead. After that, you pay the £68 gate price.
Parking isn’t part of the ticket either. Standard parking costs £13 booked online, or £15 on the day.
Tickets From £28 and a £64 Pass
Here’s every way to pay less, from member tickets to Alton Towers’ own pass.
| Route | Member saving | How it works |
|---|---|---|
| Theme park tickets | Up to 15%, from £28 | Member link, online only |
| Waterpark tickets | From £15 | Member link, separate ticket |
| Resort hotels and breaks | Up to 10% | Member link, no code |
| Member Day | £21 a head on 7 March 2026 | Park closed to the public |
| Merlin Gift Card | 4% off, so £96 buys £100 | Spent online, no part payment |
| Alton Towers Annual Pass | No pass offer shown | £64 a year, bought direct |

Blue Light Card’s Alton Towers page shows tickets from £28 and waterpark entry from £15. Its FAQ says member pricing covers admission to the theme park and waterpark, and that savings vary by offer.
Waterpark Entry From £15
The waterpark needs a separate ticket. Alton Towers’ waterpark page says theme park tickets don’t include it, and its own online price starts at £23.
That makes the member price useful in winter. The waterpark opens almost all year, while the theme park shuts from early November until spring.
Hotel Breaks With Up to 10% Off
Blue Light Card lists up to 10% off hotel stays, and its page says members can save on short stays too. The resort’s options include the Alton Towers Hotel, Splash Landings Hotel, CBeebies Land Hotel and the Woodland Lodges.
Resort guests park free, and most breaks include breakfast. If your employer’s benefits portal carries Alton Towers, the resort’s help centre says corporate rates can take up to 25% off bed and breakfast rooms on selected dates, without park tickets.
For Haven, Butlin’s and other UK breaks, our holiday discounts guide compares the member offers.
The £64 Pass and the 4% Card
Alton Towers sells its own Annual Pass for £64 a year, valid at Alton Towers only. It has up to 40 exclusion days and no free parking, and it takes 10% off Fastrack.
Blue Light Card shows no offer on the pass. Two days at the £28 member price cost £56, so the pass only wins from a third visit.
The Merlin Gift Card is the other card route, at 4% below face value. It pays online for tickets, hotel stays, Fastrack and VIP experiences, but it can’t part-pay a booking. Blue Light Card’s gift card page doesn’t say whether it works on member prices, so don’t count on adding 4% to the 15%. Our Merlin guide covers the card and Merlin’s £139 pass.
£315 for a 2027 Break for Four
Say two adults and two children plan two days at Alton Towers next year. Alton Towers prices its 2027 short breaks from £87.50 a head. That lead price is for a family of four sharing a Beachcomber room at the Splash Landings Hotel on selected dates.

So the family pays £350 for one night, breakfast, two days in the theme park and free parking. If the member link takes the full 10% off, the break costs £315 for all four, a saving of £35.

Two day trips cost less, but there’s no bed. Eight day tickets at this season’s lowest online price of £32 come to £256, or £217.60 with the full 15% off. Parking adds £13 a day booked online, so member-price day trips total £243.60.
The break costs £71.40 more than that, which covers the hotel night and breakfast for four. Blue Light Card says up to 10% and up to 15%, so compare each member price with Alton Towers’ own price for your dates.
Children under 90cm don’t need a theme park ticket, which cuts the day trip sums for younger families.
The £21 Member Day in March 2026
Alton Towers was on Blue Light Card’s 2026 Member Days list. The list, published on 30 January 2026, put it on Saturday 7 March from 10am to 4pm, at £21 a head. Children under 0.9m went free.

The rest of the list took in LEGOLAND Windsor on 8 March, Warwick Castle on 7 June, Twycross Zoo on 20 September and Thorpe Park’s Fright Nights on 7 and 8 November. The Member Days page now shows only the last two, and Thorpe Park has sold out.
Each event came with free parking and 10% off in the on-site shops. That 10% covers shopping, not entry.

The Member Days FAQ lets you buy up to six tickets, but you must go too, with your card and one more form of ID. Tickets are non-refundable, an annual pass won’t get you in, and hotel stays are booked separately.
No 2027 dates had been announced by 27 October 2026. Blue Light Card’s help centre says it shares updates in its News & Blogs section before tickets go on sale.
Members can also win a stay. On 11 and 12 September 2026, Blue Light Card ran a free ballot event with a night at the CBeebies Land Hotel and early access to CBeebies Land. Ballots like it sit in the Events section of the app.
£27 Tickets for NHS Staff
Alton Towers runs no NHS or key worker discount of its own. Neither its offers pages nor its 348 help articles mention one, and it sends Blue Light Card holders to the app instead.
NHS staff have a free second route. Health Service Discounts lists Alton Towers tickets from £27, online only, plus a short breaks offer. Its terms say Merlin can spot-check proof of employment on arrival, and the deal can’t be combined with other offers.
Blue Light Card costs £4.99 for two years. Its Alton Towers FAQ names NHS staff, teachers, the emergency services, the armed forces, police and social care workers, plus retirees from those jobs. Our NHS staff guide covers both schemes.
There’s no student category on Blue Light Card. Alton Towers sells student tickets from £25.38 through Student Beans instead.
Planning more trips? Our theme park guide compares Thorpe Park, LEGOLAND Windsor and Drayton Manor. The days out guide covers zoos and castles, and the full discounts list covers other brands on the card.
