Blue Light Tickets isn’t a separate scheme you can join on its own. It’s the ticket section of Blue Light Card, and only verified card holders can use it.
Blue Light Guide is an independent guide and isn’t affiliated with Blue Light Card Ltd. For your account, verification or payments, use the official Blue Light Card website or app.
Members win free tickets in random ballots or book cheaper ones first come, first served. Events cover music, sport, theatre, comedy and family days out.
Membership costs £4.99 for two years, and the cardholder has to attend. For tickets you buy yourself, the card also takes 7.5% off Theatre Tokens and 5% off Ticketmaster gift cards.
Part of the £4.99 Membership
Blue Light Card runs the service itself. Its website calls it Blue Light Card Tickets, and its help centre has a Blue Light Tickets FAQ that limits it to verified card holders.

Blue Light Card Ltd’s privacy notice covers ticket ballots too. The old bluelighttickets.co.uk address now forwards to Blue Light Card’s days out page, though cancellations still go to a bluelighttickets.co.uk email address.
So Blue Light Tickets isn’t a rival to Blue Light Card. It’s the live events part of the £4.99 membership. Ballots are free to enter, and first come, first served tickets are discounted.
Ballots cover music, comedy, sport, horse racing and family days out. Blue Light Card’s tickets page says members saved £7 million on tickets in the last 12 months.
Enter Ballot Then Check Your Email
Log in to the Blue Light Card app or website and open the event. First come, first served tickets work like the card’s other link offers, so you follow the link to the ticket seller’s site and book there. Log in early on release day.
Ballots have an Enter ballot button instead. Each ballot page shows a draw date, which can change, and draws are random with no reserve list. Winners get an email saying where and when to collect or show the tickets.
You can have up to 5 tickets per event, depending on availability. A pair ballot counts as one entry for two, and each member gets one booking. Book more than a release allows and the whole booking may be cancelled.

On the day, the cardholder must attend and collect the tickets, so bring your Blue Light Card. Guests can come with you, but tickets can’t be transferred, resold or refunded.
If you can’t go, email [email protected] with the event details, but expect no refund. If the event itself is cancelled, keep the cancellation email to ask for replacements. Our guide on how to use Blue Light Card explains the app’s other buttons.
From Free Ballots to 20% Off
Ballots are only one route. Here’s how the main ticket offers on the card compare.
| Route | Member saving | How to claim |
|---|---|---|
| Blue Light Tickets ballot | Free if your name is drawn | Enter ballot button |
| First come, first served | Discounted event tickets | Link to the ticket seller |
| Member Days | Cheaper entry and free parking | The attraction’s booking link |
| Cinema vouchers | Member price after login | Buy in the app, then book |
| Ticketmaster gift card | 5% off | Pay on ticketmaster.co.uk |
| Theatre Tokens | 7.5% off | Online, by phone or box office |
| London Theatre Direct card | 6% off | Book 72 hours ahead |
| Attraction Tickets code | Up to 20% off | Code at checkout |
On Member Days, an attraction opens only to members. Tickets go first come, first served, up to 6 each, with free parking and 10% off in the on-site shops. A season pass won’t get you in, and you’ll need ID as well as the card.
For parks abroad, Blue Light Card’s Attraction Tickets page advertises up to 20% off park tickets and holiday packages, with deals for Disney, Universal and SeaWorld. The code copies when you click through, and availability varies by date.
Closer to home, Alton Towers, Thorpe Park and LEGOLAND Windsor give up to 15% off tickets through the member link. Our theme park guide lists each park’s offer, and the Merlin guide weighs day tickets against an annual pass.
Shopping Cards cover days out too. National Trust gift cards are 7% off and work at admission points but not online, and Go Ape gift cards are 9.5% off. Our zoo guide and days out guide cover more attractions.
Three Cards for Gigs and Theatre
For shows you choose yourself, three discounted Shopping Cards cover gigs, sport and theatre. The saving is built into the card’s price, so there’s no code to enter.

£95 for £100 of Ticketmaster Credit
Blue Light Card sells Ticketmaster gift cards at 5% off, so £100 of credit costs £95. You can use up to five cards on one booking.
The catch is where you spend it. Ticketmaster’s gift card guide says they work only on its website, not in the app or a mobile browser, for 12 months. Its help centre rules out paperless events and events abroad, and Blue Light Card adds resale tickets.
Theatre Tokens Work at 300+ Venues
Theatre Tokens give the best rate of the three, at 7.5% off. Blue Light Card’s page says they work at over 240 venues, but the Theatre Tokens FAQ now says more than 300 UK theatres, including London’s West End.

Tokens never expire, and any balance stays on the card. Book online where the theatre allows it, by phone, at the box office or through Official London Theatre.
Mousetrap Seats From £28
Here’s the 7.5% on a real price. Official London Theatre lists The Mousetrap at St Martin’s Theatre from £28 a seat.

Say four of you go at that price. The seats cost £112, and the same £112 in Theatre Tokens costs £103.60 through Blue Light Card. That’s £8.40 off four seats, more than the £4.99 membership.
Two seats would save £4.20, just short of the fee, which takes about £67 of Tokens to earn back. Prices vary by date, and on 25 October the cheapest seats for late October started at £38.
A 6% London Theatre Direct Card
London Theatre Direct gift cards are 6% off and last 12 months from purchase. You must book at least 72 hours before the show, and the voucher only works on London Theatre Direct’s website, not at the theatre or through other sellers.
It also offers member pricing through a link in your account. See Tickets, ATG Tickets and LOVEtheatre are on Blue Light Card’s theatre lists too, without public rates.
ODEON and Seven More Cinema Chains
Cinema savings come as vouchers, not codes. Blue Light Card’s help centre lists eight chains: Cineworld, ODEON, Picturehouse, Showcase, The Light, Vue, REEL and Movie House.

Pick a chain, a cinema and your vouchers in the app, then pay, and they land in your Wallet. A voucher isn’t a ticket, so you still book with the cinema and enter the code at checkout. You can also buy snack vouchers and ODEON or Cineworld memberships.
Prices aren’t on Blue Light Card’s public pages. ODEON and Cineworld are in its A to Z, but their brand pages only say member pricing applies in your account.
Booking online can add a fee. Blue Light Card’s costs page lists £1 a ticket at Cineworld, ODEON and Picturehouse, and £2.50 a booking at Showcase. ODEON’s voucher terms say the kiosk avoids its fee, though the box office won’t take vouchers.
Check each voucher’s terms first. Cineworld’s off-peak adult voucher is online only, Monday to Thursday. REEL vouchers are online only too, and upgrades such as IMAX cost extra. Unviewed vouchers can be refunded within 14 days. Our discounts list covers the other big brands.
Joining Tickets for Good Costs £0
Tickets for Good is a separate service that’s free to join. Its help centre lists NHS staff (including retired staff, contractors and students), charity staff and volunteers, state school teaching staff, NASUWT members and people on some benefits.
There’s no membership fee, but each ticket carries a booking fee based on its price. As with Blue Light Tickets, the account holder must attend and can’t pass tickets on.
Its list leaves out police, fire and armed forces roles, which Blue Light Card covers. If you qualify for both, you can use both.
