Picture yourself at a Pets at Home till with a 15kg bag of dog food. Pets at Home does take Blue Light Card, but only as a code for online orders. Showing the card at the till takes nothing off.

Blue Light Card doesn’t show the rate on its public Pets at Home page. Log in and open the offer to see it, with the code and its terms.
Vets4Pets works differently. Blue Light Card doesn’t list it, but some practices give card holders 10% off consultations, vaccinations and neutering.
Pets at Home Code After Login
Blue Light Card’s Pets at Home page sets out the route.
- Log in to Blue Light Card and search for Pets at Home.
- Open the offer and read its description, where Blue Light Card lists the terms.
- Press Copy Discount Code. The code is copied to your device, emailed to you and saved in your Wallet.
- Click through to the Pets at Home website and fill your basket.
- Paste the code at checkout and check the discount shows before you pay.
Treat each code as good for one order. Pets at Home’s help page says most codes can only be redeemed once. Blue Light Card also limits how many codes you can request, and the limit varies by partner.
If a code fails, Pets at Home suggests checking that you typed it exactly, that your items qualify, that any minimum spend is met and that it hasn’t expired. Your Wallet shows each code’s expiry date, and our guide on how to use your Blue Light Card covers the Wallet.
Pets at Home’s own terms fill in the rest. Unless an offer says otherwise, its promotions can’t be combined and don’t cover delivery charges. They can’t be used in Pets Grooming salons or its vet practices either.
Retired staff from eligible jobs can use the code too, says Blue Light Card’s FAQ, and membership costs £4.99 for two years.
450+ Stores but No Till Code
Pets at Home has over 450 stores, but the Blue Light Card code is for its website. Blue Light Card’s FAQ says the code applies to eligible pet products online.
A tile on that page is headed Shop Online or In Store, but its text only mentions online checkout, which matches the FAQ.
Click & Collect gets you close. You order on the website, and in-stock items can be ready in as little as an hour. Paste the code at checkout and make sure it’s taken before you pay.
There’s no discounted Pets at Home Shopping Card to spend at the till either. Blue Light Card’s Pets at Home gift card page could not be found on 25 October 2026.
In store, the saving open to everyone is Pets Club. It’s free, and scanning your Pets Club card at the till unlocks Pets Club Prices. New members who sign up with email marketing consent also get a 10% voucher for their first purchase.
We found no NHS or key worker discount run by Pets at Home, and a search of its site for NHS returns nothing. NHS staff can try Health Service Discounts instead, which is free and lists 10% off selected accessories online with a code.

15kg Bag From £42.50 to £51.99
Because promotions don’t stack by default, the code has to beat Pets at Home’s other ways to save. Take one real product, a 15kg bag of AVA Medium Breed Adult dry dog food, priced on 25 October 2026.

Each 1% of a member code is worth 52p on this bag. The Pets Club deal of two bags for £85 works out at about 18% off, so a code would need to beat that if you have room for two bags.
That multi-buy is only for Pets Club members, works in store and online, and runs until 25 March 2027. Pets at Home’s terms also say multi-buys can’t be used with subscribe and save.
Subscribe and save suits a single bag. It takes 10% off the first home delivery and 5% after that, or 10% each time with Click & Collect. Subscription orders over £25 get free standard delivery.

Vets4Pets Offers Vary by Practice
Pets at Home’s vet practices go by Vets4Pets, Vets for Pets and Companion Care. Blue Light Card has no page for any of them, and none appears in its A to Z of 578 brands.
Vets4Pets says nearly all its practices are owned by vets and nurses who live and work locally. Each owner runs the practice for its own area, so offers and prices differ.
South Shields and Ayrshire at 10%
Some practices publish their own offer for card holders. South Shields gives 10% off consultations, neutering and vaccinations, and says proof of employment may be required.
The Ayr, Irvine and Kilmarnock practices add dentistry. Their terms say you must be registered there, book ahead and show your card, then pay in full on the day. The 10% can’t be mixed with other offers and excludes Health Plans.
Others aim at NHS staff and the armed forces instead. Plymouth gives both groups 10%, and Croydon, Orpington and Derby Kingsway list a discount for them too. Merry Hill and Bath list no offer.
Read the small print too. Bristol Imperial’s offer title names Blue Light Card holders, but its terms limit the 10% to NHS and armed forces staff. Ring your own practice and quote the offer when you book.
Consultations From £35 to £70
Practices set their own fees, and the ones we checked publish a price list. At eight of them on 25 October 2026, a vet consultation cost from £35 at Merry Hill to £70 at Orpington.
Check your own practice’s list before you book. The Pets at Home code won’t help, because Pets at Home’s terms keep promotions out of its vet practices.
Medicines are the other lever. Practices list a written prescription fee, from £16 at South Shields and Orpington to £32.50 at Bath. Blue Light Card’s pet care guide suggests adding that fee to the online price before you switch.
Complete Care From £16.99 a Month
For routine care, Vets4Pets sells a Complete Care Plan at participating practices. It costs £16.99 a month for a cat, £19.99 for a dog under 25kg and £23.99 for a bigger dog.
The plan includes yearly vaccinations with a check-up, year-round flea, tick and worm protection, two vet consultations and three nurse checks. A 24/7 vet helpline comes with it.
There’s a 12-month minimum term, and cancelling inside it costs £60. The plan also stays with the practice where you join.
Pets Club helps here as well. Vets4Pets’ homepage says joining, which is free, gets you a £10 nose-to-tail health check at Vets for Pets and £30 off a Complete Care Plan.
Don’t expect a practice discount on top. The Ayrshire and Bristol Imperial terms both exclude Health Plans.
