Booking.com doesn’t give a Blue Light Card discount. Blue Light Card’s own Booking.com page says it doesn’t currently offer a discount there.
Blue Light Guide is an independent guide and isn’t affiliated with Blue Light Card Ltd. For your account, verification or payments, use the official Blue Light Card website or app.
Instead, it points members to Expedia, Hotels.com, loveholidays, TUI, easyJet holidays and Jet2holidays. Booking.com’s own discount scheme, Genius, is free for anyone and starts at 10% off select stays.
We checked each offer below on 24 October 2026. For a hotel-only stay, Hotels.com is the closest swap.
No Code and Six Alternatives
Blue Light Card’s Booking.com page is a list of alternatives rather than an offer. Its FAQ puts it plainly. Booking.com doesn’t currently offer a discount code.
Its other listings agree. There’s no Booking.com Shopping Card among its gift cards, and the Booking.com entry in its A to Z of brands leads back to the same page. So there’s nothing to enter at Booking.com’s checkout.
A hotel’s own Blue Light rate won’t carry over either. Hilton and Travelodge codes go in on their own websites, so a room booked through Booking.com misses out.
Seven Sites With Member Savings
These are the booking sites where a member does save. The first six are the ones Blue Light Card names on its Booking.com page, and Airbnb is the seventh.

Blue Light Card’s public pages don’t show the member rate for Hotels.com, Expedia or Jet2holidays. It appears once you log in, so compare the final price before you book.
Airbnb works differently. There’s no code, but Blue Light Card sells Airbnb gift cards as Shopping Cards at 3% below face value. You buy one in your account, and the digital card arrives straight away for use on Airbnb’s website or app.

Blue Light Card’s hotel discounts page also lists lastminute.com and Secret Stays as booking sites, with their offers behind the login.
Hotel-Only Code in Five Steps
Hotels.com is the nearest swap for Booking.com, because its code covers hotel-only stays. The order matters, since the code only works on bookings that start from Blue Light Card’s link.
- Log in to the Blue Light Card app or website and search for Hotels.com.
- Open the Hotels.com offer. Your code is copied and emailed to you.
- Click through to Hotels.com from the offer page.
- Choose a hotel-only room, not a flight and hotel package.
- Paste the code at checkout and pay when you book.
The terms add a few limits. Rooms supplied by third-party bed banks don’t count, and the call centre can’t apply the code. Only one code per booking is allowed, so it won’t usually combine with other offers.
Expedia works the same way. Its code is copied when you click through from the offer, and you paste it at checkout. The offer page’s FAQ lists hotels and holiday packages, though the same page also mentions flights and car hire. In most cases you choose between the member code and another Expedia promotion.
Package Holidays From £50 to £200
Three of the four package sites quote a fixed amount off flights and a hotel booked together, rather than a percentage.
easyJet holidays has the biggest headline figure. Its Blue Light Card page advertises up to £200 off, plus a £30 gift card, but the full terms only show once you log in. The code is copied and emailed when you click through, and only one easyJet code works per booking.
TUI codes take up to £100 off packages, and the offer page’s FAQ says they’re for NHS staff. You enter the code at checkout on TUI’s website or app, and you can use it again on later holidays.
TUI’s own NHS site, nhs.tui.co.uk, takes an NHS email or a partner code at the passenger details stage. Its terms give £100 off bookings over £1,200 and £30 off cheaper ones, and rule out flight-only, accommodation-only, multi-centre and ski bookings. TUI’s help centre adds that Smiles Rewards Club codes can’t be used with NHS or Blue Light Card discounts, so pick whichever saves more.
loveholidays gives £50 off, a figure Blue Light Card last validated on 2 July 2026. The code works online only and usually won’t combine with other promo codes.
Jet2holidays has a member code for package holidays, entered while you book online. Its value isn’t on the public page, so check the offer in the app.

Genius Discounts From 10% to 20%
Booking.com’s own scheme is Genius. It’s free, and anyone can join by creating an account with an email address, so it isn’t a Blue Light or NHS rate.
Level 1 starts the moment you sign in, with 10% off select stays and rental cars. The higher levels depend on how often you book.
Level 2 takes 5 completed bookings in 2 years. It brings 10% to 15% off stays, plus free breakfasts and room upgrades at some properties. Level 3 takes 15 bookings in 2 years, for 10% to 20% off and priority support.
A few rules from Booking.com’s FAQ are worth knowing. Each reservation counts as one booking, however many nights or rooms it covers. Discounts come off the price before taxes and charges, and once you reach a level, you keep it for life.
Genius only works at participating properties, which Booking.com puts at 850,000 and marks with a blue Genius label. A higher level doesn’t always mean more off, because some properties give every level the same discount.
The fair test is the same room on the same dates. Check Booking.com with Genius against Hotels.com or Expedia with the member code, and compare the final price with taxes included.
Book Direct for 25% Off Hilton
The biggest published room discount on the card belongs to a hotel chain, not a booking site.
Hilton leads with 25% off the B&B rate. That’s the publicly available bed and breakfast rate at participating hotels worldwide. Hampton by Hilton gives 15% off the daily rate at participating hotels. You enter the code from your account on Hilton’s website.
Travelodge gives 5%, with two catches in its FAQ. You must book at least 7 days before your first night, and the stay can’t run longer than 3 nights. The code goes on the basket page.
