Dunelm takes Blue Light Card, but not at the till. Members get 5% off online orders of £100 or more, using a code from the Blue Light Card app or website.
Blue Light Guide is an independent guide and isn’t affiliated with Blue Light Card Ltd. For your account, verification or payments, use the official Blue Light Card website or app.
The code won’t work in Dunelm stores or on sale items. Older guides quote a £30 minimum, but Dunelm’s own terms now say £100.
On a £399 sofa bed that’s £19.95 off. On a £99 floor lamp, it’s nothing at all.
5% Off Online Orders From £100
Dunelm’s own promotion terms set the deal out plainly. Members get 5% off when they spend £100 or more on eligible products at Dunelm.com, using a code requested through Blue Light Card.

To use it, you need to be 16 or over, live in the UK and hold a Blue Light Card account. Dunelm says it may check your membership with Blue Light Card before an online order goes through.
The £100 has to come from eligible products. Sale items, gift cards and Pausa café purchases don’t count towards it, so a basket that only reaches £100 with reduced stock won’t qualify.
There’s no closing date. The terms say the offer runs for as long as Dunelm stays in the Blue Light Card programme, and Dunelm can change or withdraw it without notice.
Blue Light Card’s Dunelm page confirms it’s a code rather than an automatic member price, though it doesn’t show the rate to visitors who aren’t logged in. Its FAQ adds one useful detail. The current code can be used on Made to Measure products, and Dunelm’s current terms don’t exclude them either, so Made to Measure curtains and blinds count.
Any verified member can use it, and most eligible jobs include retired staff too. Our eligibility guide lists every group.
£19.95 Off a £399 Sofa Bed
Five per cent sounds small, and on most baskets it is. These are full-price Dunelm products, priced on dunelm.com on 24 October 2026.
| Basket | Price | Code saves | You pay |
|---|---|---|---|
| Floyd retro floor lamp | £99 | Nothing, under £100 | £99 |
| Floyd lamp and Rimini table lamp | £109 | £5.45 | £103.55 |
| Mito 2 seater futon | £229 | £11.45 | £217.55 |
| Harlow velvet storage sofa bed | £399 | £19.95 | £379.05 |

The £99 lamp shows how tight the threshold is. On its own it misses the minimum by £1, so the code does nothing. Add the £10 Rimini touch lamp and the basket reaches £109, which unlocks £5.45 off.
Once you’re over the line, every £100 of full-price shopping saves another £5. Dunelm’s terms don’t mention a cap on the saving, so a bigger furniture order gets the full 5% too.
Bigger furniture is where the code earns its keep. The Harlow storage sofa bed drops by £19.95, nearly four times the £4.99 Blue Light Card fee for two years.
Delivery is charged on top. Dunelm’s delivery page puts standard delivery at £3.95, free over £60, while furniture and large items cost £12.95 unless you spend £600 or more on them. Prices change often, so treat the table as a guide rather than a quote.
Paste the Code at Dunelm Checkout
The code lives in your Blue Light Card account, not on Dunelm’s site, so start there.
- Log in to your Blue Light Card account in the app or on the website.
- Search for Dunelm and open the Dunelm offer page.
- Choose the discount code offer and click through to Dunelm. The code is copied for you and emailed as well.
- Fill your basket with at least £100 of full-price products on dunelm.com.
- Paste the code at checkout and check the total drops before you pay.

If the total doesn’t move, look at the basket first. Sale items, gift cards and anything from the Pausa café don’t qualify, and a basket that falls below £100 of eligible products won’t trigger the discount.
There’s no in-store version, because the terms make the code online only. If you’d rather not wait in for a delivery, Dunelm offers free same-day Click and Collect, ready in as little as two hours.
Codes work much the same way at other retailers, as our guide to using your Blue Light Card in store and online explains.
Sale Items and Shop Tills Excluded
Dunelm’s list of exclusions is short, but every line on it matters.

The code won’t work at a Dunelm till. It can’t be used on gift cards, anything already on sale, Pausa café food and drink, or products bought on Creation Credit. That’s Dunelm’s 12 months’ interest-free credit, provided by the lender Creation Consumer Finance on spends of £300 or more.

Sales are the exclusion that hurts most, though they often save more anyway. The Margot chenille storage sofa bed was £335.20 on 24 October, down from £419, a saving of £83.80. The code can’t go on top, but 5% of the full price would only have taken £20.95 off.
Finance works the same way. On a sofa over £300, you choose between the 5% code and spreading the cost over 12 months interest-free, not both.
Cashback is the last trap. The code can’t be combined with any other Dunelm offer, colleague discount included, and if you use it with a cashback claim through one of Dunelm’s affiliate publishers, the cashback will be denied. Your order still goes through at the discounted price.
Returns follow the discount as well. Dunelm’s returns policy spreads a code’s saving evenly across everything in the order, and a refund only covers what you actually paid. You have 28 days to return unused items if you change your mind.
Made to Measure and Made to Order items, from curtains and blinds to sofas, can’t go back for a change of mind, only if they’re faulty. The same goes for a mattress once it’s unwrapped, so measure twice before you put the code towards a bespoke order.
