Domino’s Blue Light Card Discount vs Pizza Hut and KFC

Say four of you want pizza on a Friday night, and one of you has a Blue Light Card. Domino’s gives members buy one get one free on online orders.

Blue Light Guide is an independent guide and isn’t affiliated with Blue Light Card Ltd. For your account, verification or payments, use the official Blue Light Card website or app.

Papa Johns takes 40% off with no minimum spend. Pizza Hut Delivery halves pizzas and sides once you spend £25. KFC gives the least, at 9% through its app.

Pizza Hut’s sit-down restaurants run their own 25% offer, buffet included. Every rate here was checked on 24 October 2026.

Domino’s 2 for 1 Works Online Only

The Domino’s offer is a code, and Blue Light Card says it’s only for online orders at present. You order delivery or collection online and add the code at checkout, so showing your card at the counter won’t bring the price down.

Blue Light Card’s public Domino’s page skips the small print, such as which pizzas or sizes count, and says offers vary by location. Read the terms when you reveal the code.

Pizza codes rarely stack. Blue Light Card’s pizza discounts page says member discounts usually can’t be combined with other promo codes, vouchers or meal deals, so price up Domino’s own deals before you pay.

Looking for a Domino’s NHS discount? NHS workers can join Blue Light Card, so the 2 for 1 is open to them. The free Health Service Discounts scheme for NHS and healthcare staff also lists 35% off Domino’s online orders of £40 or more.

That code is one per person and won’t work with any other deal. On two £20 pizzas, the 2 for 1 leaves £20 to pay, while 35% off leaves £26.

Spend £25 at Pizza Hut Delivery

Pizza Hut works as two separate businesses. Pizza Hut Delivery runs the delivery stores, while Pizza Hut Restaurants runs the sit-down Huts, and each has its own Blue Light Card offer.

At Pizza Hut Delivery, members get 50% off pizzas and sides when they spend £25 or more. The listing only names pizzas and sides, so check the code’s terms before you add drinks or desserts.

The £25 is a hard floor, because Blue Light Card says codes only work when the basket meets the offer’s conditions. Pizza Hut’s loyalty stamps still count on discounted orders, as long as the total is £5 or more, according to its customer care page.

Health Service Discounts lists a similar 50% off Pizza Hut orders of £25 or more, with one voucher per member each month.

Pizza Hut Restaurants Take 25% Off

The sit-down Huts take 25% off food, and the unlimited lunch buffet counts. The restaurants’ own FAQ says the discount runs seven days a week, all day, once you’ve got your unique code from Blue Light Card.

Pizza Hut Restaurants

Blue Light Card’s Pizza Hut page is stricter. It says the discount applies at selected restaurants only, so check the details when you reveal the code.

The buffet runs every day until 3pm. Weekday buffets start at £9.99 for adults and £7.99 for children, and adults pay from £14.99 at weekends and on bank holidays.

Pizza Hut buffet prices for two adults and two children: £35.96 on a weekday or £26.97 with 25% off food, and £45.96 at the weekend or £34.47 with the discount

Prices vary by Hut, so these totals use the lowest prices Pizza Hut publishes. Two adults and two children on a weekday would pay £26.97 instead of £35.96.

Deals and discount codes generally don’t mix in the restaurants, so the 25% usually won’t come off a set menu such as The Duo. A Pizza Hut gift card works alongside either. Our restaurant discounts by chain sets Pizza Hut against the other sit-down offers.

KFC’s 9% Starts in the KFC App

Can you use Blue Light Card in the KFC app? You need the app to get the discount, though not to order. Blue Light Card’s KFC page says you link your card to the KFC app, which creates a unique QR code to show at the till or drive-thru.

The 9% comes off your order with no spending limit, at any open KFC drive-thru or takeaway restaurant. KFC’s help centre limits it to once a day across all its restaurants.

Checklist of where KFC's 9% Blue Light Card discount works: at the till, at the drive-thru, at any open KFC with no minimum spend, but not on KFC Delivery, app orders for collection, promotional items or twice in one day

Delivery is out, whether through KFC’s own service or another app. Blue Light Card also rules out app orders for collection, so order at the counter or the drive-thru.

KFC’s own help pages read a little differently. A June 2024 article says the Blue Light discount became redeemable in the app, but can’t be applied when promotional items are in the basket. Until the two sources agree, the QR code at the counter is the safe route.

At 9%, a £20 order saves £1.80, so it takes just over £55 of KFC to cover the £4.99 membership.

McDonald’s isn’t on Blue Light Card at all. Our McDonald’s NHS discount guide covers what you can get there, and our Costa, Starbucks and Subway guide compares the coffee stops.

A £30 Order at Each Chain

Prices vary from store to store, and KFC, Papa Johns and Pizza Hut only show them once you choose a branch. So take a simple basket worth £30 at full menu price. At the pizza chains, that’s two £15 pizzas.

ChainMember offer£30 order costsWhere it works
Domino’s2 for 1£15Online, delivery or collection
Papa Johns40% off£18Website or app
Pizza Hut Delivery50% off pizzas and sides£15Orders of £25 or more
Pizza Hut Restaurants25% off food£22.50Selected Huts, buffet included
KFC9% off£27.30Till or drive-thru, once a day

The Domino’s figure assumes both pizzas cost the same. On £30, it ties with Pizza Hut Delivery, but the Pizza Hut code needs that £25 spend first.

Small orders change the picture. Papa Johns’ Blue Light Card code has no minimum spend, so a £20 basket costs £12 there, while Pizza Hut Delivery’s offer won’t apply at all.

Delivery charges sit on top and vary by store. Papa Johns’ Lincoln Road store in Peterborough listed a £2.99 delivery charge and a £13.99 minimum order on 24 October 2026, and collecting skips the fee.

NHS and healthcare staff can do better at Papa Johns through Health Service Discounts, which lists 50% off with no minimum spend. That code leaves out drinks, ice cream and pastries.

Checkout Codes and a KFC QR Code

Every offer here starts in the Blue Light Card app or website. Search for the chain, open its offer and follow the steps shown.

For Domino’s, Papa Johns and Pizza Hut Delivery, you request a code. It’s copied to your device, emailed to you and saved in your Wallet with its expiry date. Paste it at checkout and check the price drops before you pay.

If an order goes through without the discount, Blue Light Card says you’ll have to take it up with the chain. Code requests are capped per offer, and the cap resets on a set date.

Pizza Hut Restaurants uses a unique code too, so request it before your visit. KFC takes a one-off set-up in its app. Tap More, then Discounts, then Apply Blue Light Discount, and enter your details once your Blue Light Card account is verified.

Membership costs £4.99 for two years. Checks usually take 1 to 3 working days, and the digital card is ready about an hour after approval. Our eligibility guide lists the jobs that qualify, and the Blue Light Card discounts list covers the other big brands on the card.
