Does Zara take Blue Light Card? Not at the till, but members can buy Zara gift cards at 3.5% off. You then pay with the card in UK Zara stores or at zara.com.
Blue Light Guide is an independent guide and isn’t affiliated with Blue Light Card Ltd. For your account, verification or payments, use the official Blue Light Card website or app.
That makes every £1 you spend at Zara cost 96.5p. There’s no code to hunt for either, because Zara says it doesn’t have any discount codes.
On a £225.96 winter outfit at zara.com prices on 27 October 2026, the card saves £7.91.
Search Zara and Choose a Value
Everything happens in your Blue Light Card account, on the website or in the app. Log in, search for Zara and open the Zara offer page. Pick the Shopping Card option, choose the value to load and pay the discounted member price.
The card details arrive digitally straight away and stay in your Wallet, which our guide to using Blue Light Card walks through. Blue Light Card’s payments help page says you can pay for Shopping Cards with a UK debit or credit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. American Express, prepaid, business and non-UK cards aren’t accepted.

At zara.com, enter the card details at the payment stage. In a Zara shop, show the card before the sale goes through. Zara’s gift card payment page says you can show a virtual card on your phone or print it out, and pay anything above the balance another way.
You can’t top this card up through Blue Light Card. Zara isn’t on its list of nine retailers that allow top ups, so buy a new card when the balance runs low. Zara lets you add money to a gift card in its shops, but only balance bought through Blue Light Card carries the 3.5% saving.
A Winter Outfit Saves £7.91
Here’s the saving on a real basket. These four pieces were on zara.com at full price on 27 October 2026. The double-breasted wool blend coat was £89.99, the soft knit jumper £35.99, the ZW Collection straight-leg jeans £29.99 and the leather block-heel ankle boots £69.99.

Paid with Shopping Card balance, the £225.96 outfit costs you £218.05, a saving of £7.91. That one shop covers the £4.99 two-year membership fee with £2.92 to spare. If Zara is the only place you use the card, the fee is paid back after about £143 of spending.
Sale stock counts too. Blue Light Card says there are no restrictions tied to sale periods or specific lines, so the 3.5% comes off reduced prices as well. If the card values on offer don’t match your basket, the leftover balance stays on the card for your next Zara shop.
Is there a Zara NHS discount? Not from Zara itself. Its help centre says Zara doesn’t have any discount codes, so there’s no NHS code to ask for.

Healthcare staff do have a second gift card route. Health Service Discounts, which is free for NHS and healthcare workers, listed a Zara gift card at 3% off on 27 October 2026, marked as a Discount Boost. On the same outfit, 3% saves £6.78, which is £1.13 less than Blue Light Card’s rate.
Zara Won’t Replace a Lost Card
Blue Light Card says your balance is subject to Zara’s terms, and Zara’s gift card page sets out the main ones. Zara calls each card a bearer document and won’t replace one that’s lost, stolen or damaged. Keep the card details private.
The card is also tied to the UK. Zara says a gift card is valid only in the market where it was bought, so a UK card won’t work in Zara shops abroad.
Zara’s own gift cards don’t expire, but Blue Light Card sets a deadline of its own. Its Wallet help page says you must open a Shopping Card’s link within one year of buying it, and spend each card before the expiry date it shows.

Those terms also name Zara’s sister shops. Zara says its gift cards work at Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Pull&Bear, Stradivarius, Lefties and Zara Home, in their UK shops and on their UK websites, plus Oysho’s UK website. Blue Light Card’s Zara pages only mention Zara, so try a small purchase before you plan a big shop at one of the others.
To see what’s left, use the Check Balance section of Zara’s website or ask in a Zara shop.

Refunds Land on the Zara Card
If you paid in full with the card, a return won’t put money back in your bank. Zara says purchases paid with a gift card are refunded to the same gift card.
For an online order, a virtual copy of the card with the updated balance comes with the email confirming the return. In a shop, the refund goes back on the card you used or onto a voucher.

Split payments work differently. If you paid partly by gift card and partly another way, then return only some of the order, Zara usually refunds the other payment method instead.
Zara’s usual return rules still apply. You get 30 days, counted from the shipping date for online orders and from the purchase date in shops. Returning to a Zara store is free, while a drop-off point return costs £2.95, taken off the refund.
The Shopping Card itself is harder to send back. Blue Light Card only refunds a Shopping Card if you ask within 14 days of buying it and haven’t viewed it in your Wallet. Once you’ve opened it, it can’t be refunded, so only load what you plan to spend.
Bigger Fashion Discounts Than Zara
Zara’s 3.5% is one of the smaller fashion offers on the card. Here’s what Blue Light Card listed at other clothing chains on 27 October 2026.
| Shop | Saving | How you claim | Where it works |
|---|---|---|---|
| Zara | 3.5% | Shopping Card | UK stores and zara.com |
| M&S | 6% | Shopping Card | Online and in store |
| ASOS | 5% | Shopping Card | Online |
| H&M | Rate in the app | Shopping Card | Online and in store |
| Primark | Rate in the app | Shopping Card | Stores only |
| New Look | 15% off full price | Code | Online and in store |
| River Island | 10% | Code | Online |
New Look gives the most, at 15% off full price. The same £225.96 spent on full-price clothes there would save £33.89. Its code only covers full-price items, though, while the Zara card has no sale restriction.
Like Zara’s, the M&S and ASOS offers are gift cards bought at a discount. H&M and Primark sell them too, but neither public page shows a rate. Our H&M guide and Primark guide cover those two, and the Primark card only works in Primark’s shops.
For trainers, JD Sports takes 10% off full price with an online code. Next isn’t currently a direct Blue Light Card partner, and our list of shops that don’t accept Blue Light Card covers more big names that turn the card away. The Blue Light Card discounts list groups the bigger offers by category.
