Do The Range, Wickes and Screwfix give a Blue Light Card discount? All three do, and The Range gives the most, with 10% off online orders of £50 or more.

At Wickes and Screwfix, the saving comes from discounted Shopping Cards instead, at 5% and 4% below face value. You spend them in store, and the Screwfix card only at the trade counter.
None of the three takes money off when you show your card at the till. Every offer below was checked on 24 October 2026.
10% Code Against 5% and 4% Cards
The headline rate is only half the story. Where you can spend each saving matters just as much, and every chain has a catch.

Blue Light Card last checked The Range’s offer on 30 June 2026, and rates can change, so look at the live offer in the app before a big spend. Our Blue Light Card discounts list shows the rates at other big chains.
Here’s how each offer works, and the kind of job it suits.
The Range Code Works Online Only
Does The Range accept Blue Light Card in store? No. Blue Light Card’s The Range page says its codes only work on online orders, and there’s no Shopping Card for The Range either.
The basket must reach £50 or more, and the code skips Marketplace items from other sellers and anything already discounted. Blue Light Card doesn’t say whether sale items count towards the £50, so reach it with full-price stock.
Its FAQ adds two smaller catches. Some special or limited edition items may be excluded, and the code can’t usually be combined with other promotions.
If you’d rather collect in person, The Range’s Click & Collect is free, and its terms count a Click & Collect order as an online purchase. Look for the 10% in the total before you pay.
The code suits a full-price order from The Range’s home, garden or craft ranges.
Wickes Uses a 5% Shopping Card
Does Wickes do a Blue Light discount? Not at the till. Members buy a digital Wickes Shopping Card at 5% below face value and spend it in a Wickes store. A £100 card costs £95.
Wickes’ own gift card terms set the limits. The card can’t pay for online, phone or mail orders, tool hire, products from in-store concessions, specialist installations or Wickes kitchen and bathroom finance.
So it can pay for kitchen and bathroom products in store, but not specialist installation or finance repayments.
Any balance you don’t spend stays on the card. Wickes cancels a card after 24 months without use, though, and the balance goes with it.
Wickes suits a big in-store shop, such as timber, paint, fencing or a bathroom suite.
Screwfix Only at the Trade Counter
Screwfix has no Blue Light Card code either. Its saving is a Screwfix Shopping Card at 4% below face value, so £96 buys a £100 card.
The card only works at the trade counter in a Screwfix store. Screwfix’s gift card terms rule out orders on its website or through its call centre. Blue Light Card’s FAQ adds that it can’t pay for Click & Collect orders placed online.
One line on Blue Light Card’s Screwfix page says you can shop on the website. The same page’s FAQ and Screwfix’s own terms both say otherwise, so go by those.
A Screwfix balance expires after five years without use, and a purchase or balance check counts as use. The card suits a counter run for tools, fixings or plumbing parts. If you normally order for Click & Collect, buy at the counter instead.
Paying at Wickes and Screwfix Tills
Both Shopping Cards are bought in the Blue Light Card app or website, and the details arrive straight away. You can buy one just before you walk in.
- Log in to the Blue Light Card app or website and search for Wickes or Screwfix.
- Open the Shopping Card offer and pick a card value.
- Pay the member price, 5% below face value for Wickes or 4% for Screwfix.
- Find the card in your Wallet, ready to use straight away.
- Show the card on your phone at the Wickes till or the Screwfix counter.
- Pay any difference another way. Leftover balance stays on the card for next time.
Opening a card in your Wallet ends any chance of a refund. Blue Light Card’s refund rules only cover cards you haven’t viewed, within 14 days of buying them.
You can’t top either card up in the app, because Wickes and Screwfix aren’t on Blue Light Card’s list of top-up retailers. Buy roughly what the job needs.
The Range works differently. Open its offer in the app and request the code. Blue Light Card copies it to your device and emails it to you, so you can paste it at the checkout on therange.co.uk.

Wickes Fence Repair for £170.05
Picture an autumn storm that flattens three fence panels and snaps two posts. Here’s a basket for the repair, using prices on wickes.co.uk on 24 October 2026.
That’s three overlap panels at £34, two incised fence posts at £14, four 20kg bags of Postcrete at £7.50 and a 5L tin of Ducksback treatment at £19. The basket comes to £179.
Paid with Wickes card balance bought at 5% off, it costs £170.05. That’s a saving of £8.95, enough to cover the £4.99 membership fee with £3.96 to spare.
The posts show how sale prices fit in. They were down from £18 to £14, and Wickes’ terms don’t exclude sale goods, so the card still saves 5% of the lower price.
The same £179 on a 4% Screwfix card would save £7.16. At The Range, a £179 full-price online order would save £17.90, twice as much, though the code won’t touch discounted stock.
Buy the panels in store rather than on wickes.co.uk, because the card won’t work online. Prices change often, so treat the basket as a guide.
B&Q and Dunelm Work Online
Neither Shopping Card works on an online order, and The Range’s code only covers full-price stock. Two other home chains on the card work online.
B&Q’s Shopping Card saves 4%, and it works in B&Q’s UK stores and on diy.com, so it suits a DIY order for delivery. Our guide works through it on real B&Q prices.

NHS and healthcare staff have a free option as well. Health Service Discounts listed the same three rates on 24 October 2026, with 10% off at The Range online, a 5% Wickes gift card and a 4% Screwfix gift card.
